FAQ
-
What are the studio rates?Check out the studio Booking Rates page for updated studio rates.
-
What services does Undercaste Studios provide? We offer room rentals with or without engineer-producers to help you create, refine, and elevate your audio and select video projects.
-
Is mixing and mastering included with my studio session? In Hip Hop, Rap, Trap, and Auto-Tune genres, our engineers typically record, mix, and master 2-3 songs within a 3-hour session. While some tracks may require more attention, we aim to complete everything during the session so your music is ready for release. Artists in these genres usually achieve 2-3 songs in that time. For other genres, session length may vary based on project needs. Our engineers are fast and efficient, maximizing your studio time. Please note that any additional changes, note or revisions beyond the session will be charged at our hourly rates.
-
Is there a hourly minimum? We previously required a 3-hour minimum for bookings, but we’re now offering 2-hour sessions during select late-night time slots. For daytime bookings, we may occasionally accommodate shorter sessions with a 50% hourly upcharge.
-
Do you allow smoking inside the studio?Smoking of any kind—including weed and vaping—is not permitted inside the studio. However, you’re welcome to smoke outside on the patio near the pool.
-
What is the maximum number of people allowed in a studio session?Studio A and Studio B can accommodate up to 6 people. For Studio C, the capacity is 3 people when renting with one of our in-house engineers, or 4 people total if you are a freelance engineer.
-
What are your accepted payment types? We accept payments through PayPal, where you can use credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We also accept payments via Cash App and Venmo. For our corporate clients, ACH payments are available. Cash is accepted as well, though please note we do not have change on hand. Invoices will be sent to you via PayPal.
-
Can I rent the studio without an in-house engineer and still use your equipment and analog gear?Studio C is available for rental without an engineer, but you’ll need to bring your own computer and connect to our guest audio interface. This gives you access to our analog gear, custom vocal chain, studio monitors, MIDI controllers, and screen setup. Freelance engineers approved by Undercaste can use Studio C with our equipment, provided they have an established and trusted reputation with us. Please note that Studio A and Studio B can only be rented with one of our in-house engineers.
